This marriage has created a powerful creative community they have sustained alongside other organizers for over a decade. If you can’t find them hosting an event or at an art gallery opening - you can find them at home, playing their dog Stella the pit-chi while listening to vinyls, or at a cafe ordering a dirty chai.

As a non-profit development consultant, artist, educator, and founder of the Democratize Funding initiative, Pallavi’s work is rooted in the belief that storytelling can dismantle barriers and fund transformative projects. With a Master’s in TESOL and a career that has traversed ESL instruction, neurodivergent education, and curriculum development, she discovered her calling in grant writing in 2018, recognizing its potential to amplify artist-driven visions and meet community needs. As an interdisciplinarian, Pallavi bridges the gap between creative vision and practical resourcing, offering both  artists and organizations the tools to navigate funding landscapes while honoring their cultural and artistic lineages. Her work demonstrates the power of storytelling as a means to create spaces where art thrives beyond capitalist constraints. She has served on the board of Omni Commons while working as Development Director and currently serves as the grant advisor and a board member for Sketchboard Co. She also serves on the grantmaking advisory board at Agroecology Commons.

  • Alphonso Cornelius | Media

I'm a new age Renaissance man, and I'm always exploring what's next. I started out in IT, but my real journey began when I merged my technical skills with my creative side. I spent years working in animation, painting murals, and drawing comics, eventually landing at some of the biggest studios out there think Cartoon Network, DreamWorks, and Industrial Light & Magic. Storytelling is my true calling, and I've worked my way from comic artist and story-boarder to now writing, directing, and showrunning.

Lately, I've been busy. I'm a serial entrepreneur who has launched five businesses in the past year, and I have a full slate of creative projects, including an animated TV series I'm directing, a fantasy novel I'm writing, and another animated show I'm co-showrunning. I also volunteer on the board for the Children's Media Association because I love helping people, especially kids, unlock their full potential. Life is an adventure, and I'm all about living it to the fullest while helping others reach for the stars.
